What is RODA?

RODA is a digital service for reporting Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Partner Organisation ODA/ISPF spend.  This section of the Handbook will tell users what they can expect from RODA. This will constantly evolve as RODA continues to be developed e.g. to report new external OECD/FCDO requirements.

This service collects data about how Partner Organisation spend ODA/ISPF money. This includes the aims and objectives, budgets, progress, and financial transactions of specific activities. The service will enforce standardisation, consistency and completeness of input across Partner Organisation submissions.

RODA was introduced in 2020-21 and replaces the tracker spreadsheets for all previous ODA reporting.  RODA provides a reliable and accurate single source of truth for ODA/ISPF  information.  

RODA is the single data reporting point for DSIT R&I ODA/ISPF. At the end of every reporting Q, once the data has been assured by DSIT Finance, RODA will lock the dataset in to create the single version of the truth (SVT) for that point in time. Once the dataset has been locked in to create the SVT the reports can be re-opened for Partner Organisation to continue to update their data for the next reporting Q.
